Welcome!

I’m Heidi Biegel, MSN, CNM, MSMP

I'm a Yale-trained Certified Nurse-Midwife, honored to have had 20 years supporting women on their journeys from adolescence and adulthood, through pregnancy and birth, to midlife and menopause. Each phase has unique joys, challenges, and opportunities. I’m certified as a Menopause Practitioner by the Menopause Society (previously called NAMS) and trained in integrative and functional medicine by Aviva Romm, Family Practice MD, midwife, herbalist, and respected functional medicine expert.

The midlife care you’ve been searching for.

Two decades of working with women during vital life transitions have shown me that the conventional healthcare model cannot adequately provide the information, guidance, and support that women want (and deserve!) during perimenopause and menopause.

Second Spring Midlife Women’s Health is a new model of woman-centered care combining the best of women’s wisdom and modern medicine to help you restore balance, focus on prevention, and prepare to thrive during this exciting phase of your life.

Let’s get to the root of your hormonal symptoms so we can create a plan for real relief…

  • Hot flashes & night sweats

  • Irregular or heavy periods (perimenopause)

  • Insomnia and fatigue

  • Breast tenderness

  • Vaginal dryness

  • Decreased libido

  • Mood changes

  • Frequent UTIs

  • Brain fog

  • Weight gain

  • Thinning bones

  • Joint pain and muscle aches

Many women have no idea that so many symptoms like these, and others, may be caused by changes in hormones during perimenopause and menopause.  I’m here to help!

Women deserve more than what the conventional healthcare model is designed to provide.

I offer:

Evidence-based information and treatment

Personalized support with a comprehensive and relaxed approach

More time to explore your health history, concerns, and symptoms, identify underlying root causes, and formulate a wellness plan that you can be inspired to embrace

Easy access for follow-up questions or new concerns

My services and support complement the care of your current health care providers.

The core of my practice is to give you time to ask all your menopause-related questions, explore the root causes of your concerns, discuss your wellness goals and options, and work with you as you integrate a new treatment plan. Your PCP and OB/Gyn are still needed for in-person paps, physical exams, and emergency and surgical care.  I am happy to join your wellness team!

Menopause hormone specialist Heidi Biegel smiles and looks straight ahead.
Heidi is one of the first healthcare providers I have had who took the time to really listen to me. Her warmth immediately put me at ease. She explained things in a way that I could understand, which was so empowering. I’m learning so much about my body and what to expect in menopause. I feel better prepared for the rest of my life. It is obvious that she cares about her patients, knows a ton about menopause, and is passionate about this topic.
