Supplement Store
Fullscript is an online supplement store that carries some of the highest-quality supplements available with a 35% discount to licensed medical professionals like me. It’s important to me that my loyalty is always to my patients and never to any product, so I do not retain any profit from the sales through the Fullscript store and pass on the entire discount to my patients. You can enter the store with this link and look for my formulary, with some of my favorite supplements that can be used to support women’s health. We will discuss my specific recommendations for you during our appointments.
Using herbs & supplements safely:
Unlike medications, supplements are not evaluated by the FDA and so are not intended to be used to prevent or treat diseases.
Many supplements and herbal products have been found to have a different dose or even different substance than what is on the label. That’s why getting your supplements from a reliable source like Fullscript is so important. Labs can submit their products for third-party testing (by companies such as NSF International or US Pharmacopeia). Consumer Labs is a helpful subscription resource that independently evaluates supplements.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, discuss any herb, supplement, or medication with your prenatal provider before taking it. Many supplements have not been studied for safety in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Even “natural” substances can have risks and can have interactions with other herbs, supplements, or medications.
If you are taking a prescribed medication, check with the prescriber before taking other medications, herbs, or supplements.
Discontinue taking the supplement if you have any side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, or rash, and report to the prescribing provider.
