Perimenopause & Menopause is your SECOND SPRING!
Second Spring Midlife Women’s Health is a telehealth practice for midlife women like you to help optimize your health, prepare for many years of balanced productivity, and bring your most vibrant self to your life, your relationships, and your community.
“Second Spring” is a Chinese concept of menopause, beautifully highlighting the potential for renewed energy and growth during this time of your life.
I’m Heidi.
I’m a Certified Nurse-Midwife, honored to have had 20 years of experience supporting women through vital life transitions including adolescence, pregnancy & birth, and menopause. I’m certified by the Menopause Society (previously NAMS) and have been trained in integrative and functional medicine by Aviva Romm, an MD, herbalist, and respected functional medicine expert.
I believe that health and wellness is a journey. Midwife means “with woman,” and as a certified nurse-midwife (CNM), I want to walk WITH you on your path and offer you evidence-based options to address perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms and their root causes. Together we’ll create a treatment plan that you can have confidence in.

I offer consultative gynecologic services by telehealth for women with perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms.
We will review your health history, current symptoms, and any strategies you’ve already tried. I can order any labs needed (conventional or specialty labs), imaging like pelvic ultrasounds, breast imaging, and bone density scans, and then make treatment suggestions based on your priorities and health care preferences, from lifestyle changes (nutrition, physical activity, sleep optimization, stress reduction), bioidentical hormone therapy or other conventional medical prescriptions, and herbs and supplements to support your body during the menopausal transition.
Schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss your specific symptoms and how I might be able to help you.

Women deserve more than what the conventional healthcare model is designed to provide!
Women like you want:
Evidence-based information explained in a way that makes sense
Personalized support, relaxed and unhurried
More time with your healthcare provider to explore your history, concerns, and symptoms, identify any underlying or root causes, and formulate a treatment plan that you feel excited about.
Easy access to your healthcare provider for follow-up questions or new problems
Fees:
In order to offer you the quality of care and time you deserve, I am unable to accept insurance. But I am happy to give you a superbill to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Insurance often covers conventional labs. HSA/FSA may be used for visit and lab fees.
-
We’ll review your priorities, current symptoms and give you a chance to ask questions and make sure I am a good fit for you and for your health concerns.
-
A Welcome Packet will be sent to you after you schedule an initial appointment, including an in-depth health questionnaire that you will return to me before our first appointment.
During your appointment, we will review your health history in detail, current symptoms, and potential contributors to hormone imbalance or health challenges such as nutritional deficiencies, genetic predisposition, stress, sleep problems, past infections, or environmental exposures. I will order any imaging or lab work needed to help determine the best treatment options. After the appointment, labs or imaging can be done at your convenience.
-
At the first follow-up appointment: we will review the lab or imaging results, what they mean for you, and treatment options. Together we will create a treatment plan that you feel can fit well in your life and routine, and this will be sent to you so that you have a guide to refer to. Recommendations could include dietary changes, activity recommendations, vitamins, herbs, supplements, or medications like bioidentical hormones. I will tailor the recommendations to your preferred modes of treatment and your budget.
Appointments after this will be made to fine-tune your treatment plan and will depend on your concerns and preferences.
“Heidi is one of the first healthcare providers I have had who took the time to really listen to me, and her warmth immediately put me at ease. She explained things in a way that I could understand, which was so empowering. I’m learning so much about my body and what to expect in menopause. I feel better prepared for the rest of my life. It is obvious that she cares about her patients, knows a ton about menopause, and is passionate about this topic.”
